Manufacturer Description
AquaGuard applicators are used to melt, transfer, and apply adhesives. They are not intended for Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) adhesive. This applicator is designed for use in an environment where periodic equipment wash is required.

The applicator melts adhesives and other thermoplastic materials in a Teflon-coated aluminum tank. The materials pass through a pump into a distribution manifold, and then flows through a filter into heated hoses and extrusion guns.

The tank, hoses, and guns are electrically heated. The tank has a cast-in, resistive heater in its aluminum wall. A spiral-wound element heats the hoses. The guns have a cartridge heater. Resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) are used to sense the temperature in the tank, hoses, and guns.

The following features are standard on all AquaGuard applicators:
- Overtemperature protection
- Enhanced control flexibility and accuracy with MultiScan control system
- Programmed sequential startup of applicator, hoses, and guns reduces startup component stress
- Parent machine interlock (PMI) prevents line activation before the adhesive reaches application temperature
- Output contacts are available to connect optional remote alarms
- 45 degree manifold face allows efficient and convenient routing of hoses
