This aftercooler is in good working condition. It was pulled out of a working environment.

Hot compressed air passes through the ADT copper tubes. Ambient air is forced across these externally finned tubes by the use of an axial fan.
The air is cooled to a temperature which can be as little as 10 °C above the ambient temperature. As the compressed air cools down, up to 80% of the water vapour condenses to a liquid.
